ETM offers an eLearning professional development series, each quarter addressing a topic linked to how digital environments can be utilized in face-to-face, blended or fully online learning spaces.
Fall 2015 – Teaching With the Open Web
It’s easy to build a quality website today. And it has great benefit in teaching, learning & scholarship.
This quarter we will focus on how to facilitate collaborative community on the Open Web. Through the use of WordPress as a website platform, participants will build/design/expand/modify sites to exemplify, support and scaffold student learning. This working group is designed for any faculty with any level of understanding Web use and development, with direct relevance to faculty who desire
- A professional website (scholar, instructor, etc.)
- A course website
- A website for a research program, center or special topic
- A greater engagement with how materials on the Open Web can be curated/collated/assessed/used towards learning outcomes
- An opportunity to engage with a wonderful community of scholars around a topic of interest and excitement!
Registration is now open for this group. Participants will receive recognition for their professional development engagement, as well as a small gift of thanks. If you have further questions, please contact Rolin Moe, ETM Director.
