I am registered for a course in Banner but I don’t see my class listed in Blackboard.
- There are two reasons this could be happening. Banner and Blackboard sync every night, so if you registered for a course today, it will not show up in your Course List until the following morning. Alternatively, there is the possibility the instructor has not made the class available to students yet. Talk with your instructor to see if he or she will be using Blackboard for the quarter.
I registered for a course through Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programs in Education or Business and I don’t see my class listed in Blackboard.
- These programs use a different registration process so there might be a slight delay in getting an SPU username and password, which is necessary to sign into Blackboard. Additionally, many CPE and certification programs do not use Blackboard as their Learning Management System (LMS). The first step to take is to make sure that you are properly registered and that you have created your SPU username and password (contact CIS at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need assistance creating your SPU ussername or password). Check with your instructor to see if he or she will be using Blackboard. Most CPE courses will not be available in Blackboard until the first day of class. Contact email@example.com or 206.281.2212 if you still are unable to view your class.
I need to take a placement test.

Blackboard is not loading, looks funny, is slow to load or is giving me an error message.
- It might be an issue with the browser being used. Blackboard works best with the latest versions of Firefox and Chrome. In addition, you might want to review the CIS recommendations for minimum computer hardware standards.
