General SPU

Ames Library

SPU Librarians can help you with your research projects, answer your copyright questions and point you in the right direction when you don’t know where to get started. They have created a variety of subject guides that you may find extremely useful over the course of your time here at SPU. Each department has a liaison librarian. Stop by the circulation desk during their hours of operation.

Center for Learning

The Center for Learning (CFL) hosts study groups and is a good place to go find a tutor in a variety of subjects. Their offices are located in the lower level of Moyer Hall. They have an open door policy and would love to see you! CFL also houses Disability Student Services (DSS). This is the place to start if you have a documented disability and need accommodations. Contact Angela Tucker if you have questions or would like to set up an appointment.

Developing a Personal Learning Network

The best way to learn a new subject is just to keep your nose down and take pages and pages of notes, right? If you are struggling in a class, the way to catch up is to redouble your efforts and spend every waking moment alone with your notes, right? Wrong!  Learn more about how creating a Personal Learning Network can help you create a community of like minded learners to help you reach your goals.
